What Is Action

I asked Opus what "action" actually means for The Magician. This is what it said.
Careful -- this question itself can become the Hermit's trap. "What is action?" is a thinking question about doing.
But here's a quick frame and then we move:
The Magician has the tools on the table. He picks one up and uses it. He doesn't catalog the tools, optimize the layout, or plan which tool to use first. He looks at what's in front of him and works it.
For you concretely:
- Action = something exists after that didn't exist before. A post published. A commit pushed. A plant bought. A message sent. An expense recorded.
- Not action = planning to write, researching options, refining a system, reading about approaches, organizing tasks
The test is simple: did something change in the physical world?
You have plenty of projects. Pick one thing and ship it today. Don't pick the best one -- pick the nearest one. The Magician doesn't optimize the queue. He grabs what's closest and moves.
What's closest right now?
